Since the reveal of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay, many fans have been keen to ask about other possible features which weren’t shown. CD Projekt Red has since confirmed that players will be able to customize the game’s HUD elements, for instance. They have now also confirmed the existence of a Cyberpunk 2077 Photo Mode.
CD Projekt Red Confirms Plans for a Cyberpunk 2077 Photo Mode
Several recent releases in 2018 have added Photo Modes post-launch. Both God of War and Far Cry 5 added the feature after their respective launch dates. In the case of God of War, Santa Monica Studios had wanted to have the option available at launch, but ran out of time. As such, it was added to God of War in an update a few months later. Quantic Dream, on the other hand, recently cancelled plans to add a Photo Mode to Detroit: Become Human. They explained that their game already maxed out the limit on what the PlayStation memory was capable of, making it impossible to add the mode.
We‘ll have a photo mode.

Now, it seems Cyberpunk 2077 will also include a Photo Mode. A fan asked whether the feature would be included via Twitter. The Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account responded with a clear affirmative answer. Given the spectacular setting of Night City, it seems a sensible feature to have. Of course, fans may wish to bear in mind that the game has yet to announce a release date; just as was the case with God of War, it is always possible that extra features such as Photo Mode could be shelved if the developers run out of time. However, as both God of War and Far Cry have shown recently; the feature can be added via an update without much fan concern at some point post-launch. It remains to be seen whether the feature will actually make it to the final release, but hopefully it will.
