Although the game has now been delayed until December, it looks as though Cyberpunk 2077 fans still have a reason to be excited for the 19th of November; the game’s former release date. Earlier today, CD Projekt Red announced that they will now be airing the fifth episode of Night City Wire on that date, and it will reportedbly; “be a big one”.
Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire Episode #5
“Get ready for Episode 5 of Night City Wire!” reads a recent post from the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account; “We’ll talk about our favourite rockerboy Johnny Silverhand, share a variety of Night City’s tunes and a lot more. It’s going to be a big one!”
As per usual, the fifth episode of the Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire series will air on the CD Projekt Red Twitch channel. The broadcast will begin at 6:00 PM CET on Thursday, the 19th of November. The previous four episodes of the ongoing behind-the-scenes series have all featured in-depth looks at gameplay mechanics or major features, such as the game’s vehicles or the Braindance system. They have also featured several segments focusing on the game’s soundtrack; an area which, it seems, will also feature in episode #5.
This episode, which is airing on the date when Cyberpunk 2077 was meant to release – until its most recent delay – may very well be the final episode. After its broadcast, there will be less than three weeks before the launch of the game itself, on December 10th. Given that Night City Wire has generally been airing on a monthly basis, there’s unlikely to be enough time for a sixth episode. (Unless they continue the series to look at post-launch updates or upcoming content.) Fortunately, recent rumours that another delay to 2021 was possible have been firmly quashed by CD Projekt Red. The studio has insisted that the December 10th release date remains locked.
