Tomorrow, CD Projekt Red will be airing the second episode of Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire, a series which showcases news and details about the upcoming game. The first episode of the series aired two months ago, and included the announcement of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, amongst other things.
Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire Episode 2
Episode 2 of Night City Wire will air tomorrow, on the 10th of August, at 18:00 PM CEST. CD Projekt Red hasn’t revealed much about what the second will cover, but fans can look forward to more gameplay and mechanics details than were in the first episode. “This time we’ll share details about Lifepaths,” wrote CD Projekt Red; “show you the types of weapons you will be using in the game, and discuss Refused’s transformation into SAMURAI!”
The first episode of the Night City Wire series included an all-new gameplay trailer, as well as details about the Braindance mechanic. As such, it makes sense that the second episode would progress into more gameplay details. If CD Projekt Red plan to reveal weapon types, then it’s very likely that the episode could feature actual combat. After all, the first episode mostly focused on showcasing utility mechanics.
The other thing which fans know they can look forward to are more details about the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack. The music of the in-game band SAMURAI, who will be fronted by Keanu Reeves’ character Johnny Silverhand, is provided by the real-world band Refused. Several of Refused’s songs from the game have already been released. If CD Projekt Red plans to feature the band in episode 2, it could mean revealing the band’s other members. If CD Projekt Red stays true to the original lore, this could include guitarist Kerry Eurodyne, who became a successful solo artist after SAMURAI was disbanded. Bes Isis, the band’s keyboardist, became a journalist after leaving the band. Both could certainly feature in Cyberpunk 2077.
