Yesterday, CD Projekt Red unexpectedly released the first “Night City Wire Special,” featuring almost 10 minutes of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay. Notably, the video showed off footage captured on the Xbox Series X for the first time. Tomorrow, the Night City Wire series will continue with its actual fifth episode, spotlighting a range of different topics from the upcoming game.
Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire Episode #5
The Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire Episode #5 will be airing tomorrow, on the 19th of November, at 6:00 PM CET. Like the past four episodes, the upcoming episode will feature a look at a range of different topics. According to CD Projekt Red, episode #5 will include more info about Johnny Silverhand. Plus, the episode will reportedly feature a look at the new music of Night City, and more besides. Indeed, the studio recently released two new songs which were written for the game.
Although he has been the posterchild of Cyberpunk 2077 since his reveal, CD Projekt Red has shown relatively little of Johnny Silverhand. The holographic character, portrayed by Keanu Reeves, has only appeared very briefly in trailers and the like. That changed yesterday, however, when the Night City Wire Special included footage of a direct conversation between Silverhand and V. Given that the studio chose to release footage including that section, it’s likely that tomorrow’s episode will feature a further look at the character’s dialogue and interactions with the player.
Night City Wire Episode #5 is likely to be the final episode before the release of Cyberpunk 2077 in December. It’s currently unknown whether CD Projekt Red plans to continue the series, possibly focusing on upcoming post-launch content or updates. Obviously, the studio has made no mention of possible DLC yet; that sort of information is unlikely to emerge until early 2021 at the very earliest. However, we do know that a free next-gen upgrade will be coming for Cyberpunk 2077 some time in early 2021.
