Cyberpunk 2077 Will Let Players Adopt Any Playstyle

Cyberpunk 2077 recently won an award for being the “Most Anticipated Game of 2018“; it’s easy to see why gamers are excited. Hype has been very strong for the game ever since the E3 story trailer. Only one gameplay demo has been shown thus far; however, the game is already shaping up to be a truly unique RPG experience. Indeed, in a recent interview, Level Designer Miles Tost said that there wouldn’t be any particular Cyberpunk 2077 playstyle which players are forced into; instead, you can play the entire game in whatever style you want.

You Can Use Any Cyberpunk 2077 Playstyle You Want for the Whole Game

Miles Tost was recently asked by GamingBolt whether players would be able to utilise stealth throughout the whole game. In response, Tost said that players could play Cyberpunk 2077; “however they want,” without needing to; “adopt any particular playstyle.”

Players Won't be Restricted to a Specific Playstyle

“A big part of what lets players immerse themselves in our game is allowing them to play it the way they want to,” continues Tost; “This means providing them with options to navigate locations, solve, or even bypass problems, etc. We never force players to adopt any particular playstyle and we certainly won’t do it in Cyberpunk 2077.”

So, not only is stealth a viable option throughout Cyberpunk 2077, but so are other playstyles. Given the display of approaches which was shown in the 40-minute gameplay demo, that could give players an impressive amount of options. Hacking, stealth, gunplay, melee combat, or a mix of them all and more have been shown off already in gameplay. When you look at the options present in each of those headings; things like controlling robotic minions, shooting “smart” bullets, or climbing up walls, it seems likely that Cyberpunk 2077 will be an excellent game for gamers who like to come up with complex character builds.
