The first episode of Night City Wire, a promotional broadcast by CD Projekt Red about Cyberpunk 2077, has now concluded, and it was packed full of new information and gameplay footage. Headlining the event, of course, was a full-blown new trailer for Cyberpunk which shows off brand-new footage from the game’s prologue.
The Night City Wire Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer
According to CD Projekt Red, the new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer contains nothing but footage from the game’s prologue, although it’s likely that the prologue is quite an expansive piece of gameplay. (Not to mention something which can be completed in multiple different ways.) Nevertheless, the trailer offers a look at characters, places, and gameplay which CD Projekt Red has never shown off before.
In addition to this new trailer, Night City Wire’s first episode also offered fans a look at gameplay for Braindance; an important gameplay mechanic in Cyberpunk 2077, alongside a couple of short interviews with the lead quest designers. The event also included an announcement of Cyberpunk Edgerunners, an upcoming anime series set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. Edgerunners is currently in development and will reportedly be coming to Netflix sometime in 2022.
Night City Wire wasn’t a one-off event. The second episode will reportedly air in just a couple of weeks; suggesting that Cyberpunk 2077 fans will get much more of the game before its November release date. In fact, fans should get to hear plenty more about the game very soon indeed, because CD Projekt Red have given various media outlets and influencers early access to Cyberpunk 2077 this week. Those who were lucky enough to get access are able to publish their thoughts and experiences with the game now that Nighty City Wire has concluded. As such, there should be plenty of opinions to read online about the game over the next couple of days.
