Who doesn’t want to look pretty as they hack and slash their way through dungeon after dungeon? With this Dark Souls Remastered mod, anything is possible. You may be thinking to yourself ‘well, why would I want to look pretty if I’m just going to put a helmet on my character anyway?’ That’s a valid question, but the only thing we can say to that is: it’s important to be cute on the inside and the out.
The Dark Souls remaster released during the end of May, and since then people have done their damndest in creating some of the most wicked mods we’ve seen. Some are to help players with the experience, whilst others are much more punishing and dreadful. A particular favorite of mine is the mod that actually punishes you for standing still.
This next mod, however, is just for the looks. Originally created by user PuKKa, but reuploaded by EvieWasTaken, this mod does a fine job at helping fix up your character’s facial textures. While fans may not have really noticed that the textures of their character’s faces weren’t at the best, PuKKa clearly took issue and so went out their way to do something about it. After all, depending on how vain you are, you may like to look at your characters throughout the whole of your playthrough and who doesn’t want something aesthetically appealing to help pass the time?
The description of the mod reads like so, “retexture for faces to fix the butchering done in the Remaster. Adds some eyeshadow, more defined eyebrows, new lips and freckles for females, males have gotten a similar edit. Original DS:PTDE Mod by PuKKa. I did not create the original textures, I’ve only ported the and cleaned them up a little for the new lighting and rendering.”
