Modus Games and developer Moondrop have decided to drop some exciting news for Christmas. The news come in the form of an in-depth look at the upcoming 2D puzzle platformer: Degrees of Separation. In this game, players will be taking control of characters using heat and cold powers to traverse a lush environment filled with puzzles.
The underlying thematic around this game involves a romantic story between 2 characters with contrasting abilities. Ember masters the scathing element of heat while Rime is able to control the freezing element of cold. However, their combined powers take on an even greater impact on their world. Making them able to create gusts of wind, frozen rivers, or platforms where there previously were none.
Two Opposites of Varying Degrees
This game has been made primarily for cooperative play. However, a lone individual can also be able to experience this romantic tale written by industry veteran Chris Avellone. This writer is acclaimed for his work in games like Fallout: New Vegas, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, and Neverwinter Nights 2.
The game will also feature narration from Kira Buckland. Known for her roles in NieR: Automata, SoulCalibur VI, Octopath Traveller, and Valkyria Chronicles 4. Thanks to this, the narrative of this game will immerse the players into a story about the magnetic potential of opposing forces.
