We’ve recently discussed the top tier hand cannons (both exotic and legendary) that are THE best inside the Crucible. Today, we’ll be taking a look into the best Pulse Rifles for you to use inside the Crucible of Destiny 2. Some good Pulse Rifles were added this year. Players have been complaining about how much Bungie likes to make Exotic hand cannons and not Pulse Rifles.
Best Pulse Rifles
In Year 1 of Destiny 2, two pulse rifles were reign supreme – Vigilance Wing and Graviton Lance. Not to mention, these are still very good Pulse Rifles because of their damage numbers and TTK (time to kill) inside the Crucible. Below you can find top 8 Pulse Rifles in Destiny 2.
8. Nightshade
Coming at us at number 8 is a light frame pulse rifle released with the Vanilla Destiny 2 back in 2017. This weapon was a great weapon in Year 1 of Destiny 2 due to higher time-to-kill. But after the sandbox update in 2018, a lot of good weapons turned into a weapon stored in the Vault just for the collection.
7. Right Side of Wrong
This weapon when acquired with good random rolls can be a killer weapon inside of PvP. Rolls like Kill Clip with Outlaw and a Stability/Range/Handling Mod. Right Side of Wrong was released with Forsaken in Year 2. You can acquire this weapon randomly from Legendary engrams.
6. Redrix’s Broadsword
Redrix’s Broadsword is an upgraded version of Redrix’s Claymore (which was released as a pinnacle weapon in Season 3 for Competitive). It’s a high impact frame weapon which means this weapon has a slow rate of fire. Broadsword comes with a unique perk called Desperado “Reloading while Outlaw is active increases your rate of fire.” This weapon can be acquired by completing the quest from Shaxx.
5. Claws of the Wolf
This pulse rifle is a rapid-fire frame weapon. A lot of players have been saying that thisweapon is a year 2 version of Clever Dragon (a pulse rifle from Destiny 1). This weapon has already got a good range, the only thing you’ll be needing on this weapon is stability or handling mod.
4. Bygones
This weapon, without a doubt, was one of the best pulse rifles when Forsaken dropped. A good roll of this weapon can be acquired from the Drifter. It’s a 390 RPM pulse rifle with an adaptive frame which means that this weapon has a sturdy grip. The rolls that make this weapon a monster inside PvP are Kill Clip with Outlaw. If you want to get this weapon, you need to start playing Gambit right away!
3. Blast Furnace
It’s an Aggressive frame weapon with four-burst fire. Blast Furnace already has a really good range stat. So, with random rolls like Kill Clip with Outlaw would make this weapon a killing machine in the Crucible.
2. Outbreak Perfected
Outbreak Perfected (Outbreak Prime) is a kinetic exotic pulse rifle released in Rise of Iron (as a raid exotic). Now, with the Season of the Drifter, Bungie re-released this weapon in Destiny 2 with a brand-new mission called Zero Hour. This weapon comes with a perk The Corruption Spreads “This weapon creates SIVA nanite swarms on rapid hits and precision kills.“
1. Bad Juju
On number 1 spot, we have the most recent exotic pulse rifle brought back to Destiny 2 from OG Destiny – Bad Juju. It was (and still is) one of the best pulse rifles in Destiny 1. Unique perk on this weapon is String of Curses “After each kill, this weapon will reload instantly and increase damage for a short time. Kills will help charge your super.” Here’s the complete quest guide on how you can acquire this weapon.
So, these are the top 8 pulse rifles in Destiny 2 for PvP. Stay Tuned for our next guide on Best the Snipers in the Crucible.
