Starting today, April 9, Destiny 2 players will be able to participate in a special event called Arc Week. As its name infers, Arc Week is all about the Arc element, so expect a lot of electricity crackling. Specifically, Arc Week will make permanent improvements to Arc sub-classes, include new Arc-themed bounties, and more.
Destiny 2 Arc Week Details
According to the most recent This Week at Bungie blog post, Arc Week will greatly benefit Arc sub-classes. Major changes are being made to all three Arc classes (Striker, Arcstrider, and Stormcaller) and their specific sub-class paths. Also, even though they’re not Arc-attuned, the Voidwalker Nova Warp and Dawnblade Everlasting Spark are being tweaked as well.
Below is a full list of the Arc sub-classes and supers that are getting buffed. A full list of specific changes can be found in Bungie’s post.
- Striker Code of the Juggernaut (bottom path)
- Arcstrider Way of the Warrior (top path)
- Arcstrider Way of the Wind (bottom path)
- Stormcaller Attunement of Conduction (top path)
- Stormcaller Attunement of the Elements (bottom path)
- Stormcaller Stormtrance Super (top and bottom paths)
Additional details regarding Arc Week are still scarce for the time being, but Bungie has dropped a few hints. Both Arc-themed bounties and Arc Singe Strike modifiers will be available. If you’d rather try out your new Arc capabilities in the Crucible, Mayhem will be returning as well. Lastly, if you missed out on the Thunderlord Exotic Machine Gun last year, the quest will return from April 9-23.
As exciting as it is, Arc Week is also just a small part of Destiny 2’s imminent 2.2.1 update. The update also makes welcome changes to rare Dreaming City/Last Wish item drop rates. Also, the update will make getting specific weapon frames from Ada-1 much easier. Destiny 2’s 2.2.1 update will launch tomorrow, April 9, on all platforms.
