Christmas has come early for Destiny 2 players who are still hunting for rare Dreaming City and/or Last Wish items. Bungie recently confirmed it will be increasing the drop rates for certain Dreaming City/Last Wish items, including One Thousand Voices. This, in turn, should make earning certain in-game Seals and Titles easier as well.
Destiny 2 Buffed Item Drop Rates
According to the latest This Week at Bungie blog post, Destiny 2 is getting a new update on April 9. This update will bring the game up to version 2.2.1 and introduce a litany of quality-of-life improvements. Some of those improvements will specifically target the drop rates for rare Dreaming City/Last Wish items.
First, the drop rates for the rare Dreaming City Ghost, Sparrow, and ship are all being buffed. Depending on the specific activity the drop rate has been doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled. Same goes for the Last Wish Ghost, Sparrow, and ship depending on the specific raid checkpoints.
Finally, the Last Wish-specific Exotic One Thousand Voices is getting a slight bump to its drop rates. Bungie says One Thousand Voices should still be a rare drop, just not as rare as it is now.
The increased drop rates should be helpful to any players who are chasing the Cursebreaker and Riven’s End Titles. Players have long bemoaned having randomly dropped items attached to the Titles and their associated Seals. After April 9, though, the randomized drops should hopefully be less of an issue.
The full Bungie post is also worth reading through since it details other quality-of-life changes Bungie has in store. Players can also expect changes to Lore Book drops, Nightfall power handicaps, Ada-1’s weapon frame selection, and more. However, Bungie also warned that the changes are still being tested and might be delayed if any issues are found.
