Back in June, Bungie announced that Destiny 2 will be getting its next installment called – Shadowkeep this fall. Along with that, they also revealed that from that moment, Bungie is going independent with Destiny 2 and that they will be self-publishing the game from now on. There are many features coming in Shadowkeep. Some top-tier ones are Armor 2.0, Finishers, and Seasonal Artifacts, but, that’s not all. In This Week at Bungie blog-post, they talked about how Weapons Mods will also be changing in Shadowkeep. Here’s what they said:
- Weapon mods are now treated as reusable unlocks instead of consumables. Any mods you have in your inventory will be converted to unlocks
- This gives players the opportunity to play with different mods more frequently
- If the only copy of a mod you have is already in a gun, you will need to reacquire one to unlock it
Weapon Mods Changes Coming In Shadowkeep
From October 1st, you’ll be able to reuse any weapon mod you’d like to without thinking about how rare the actual mod is. This will give players the freedom to use weapon mods on their weapons. But, there’s one thing to take notice, you must have that mod in your inventory in order for it to be re-usable. Below, you can see some of the weapons mods from different vendors and Last Wish Raid:
