Saint-14 is one of the most badass and now fan-favorite NPC in Destiny 2. After Cayde-6, it seems Destiny 2 community has found their replacement for the legendary Hunter. In Season of Dawn, we got to visit the Mercury once again to find and rescue the greatest Titan who ever lived that is – Saint-14. In doing so, we went back and forth in time to save him. It was, without a doubt, one of the best storylines we’ve had for an individual character in Destiny.
Destiny 2: Saint-14’s Voice Line Almost Didn’t Make It
If you’ve completed the quest for Saint-14’s storyline, you’ll now have him in the Tower Hanger as an in-game vendor. The cool thing is, if you visit Saint-14 with your Titan with Helm of Saint-14 (exotic helmet) on, he’ll say a rather funny voice line that says “Ha Ha! You look like me. Let’s confuse Zavala like this.” But, according to the Technical Dialogue Designer at Bungie – Kareem, it seems this like almost didn’t make it into the game. Make sure you check out this thread on Twitter for the complete story of what actually happened behind the scenes.
“The next day I asked our audio tester to try again. It was the last day of audio mix and we were all trying to put the final polish on things. My friend on audio test found me in the afternoon to say he’d approached Saint-14 with the helmet on and IT HAD WORKED.”
It is crazy how sometimes things work in the final moments. Trials of Osiris (or Saint-14) have rumored to be joining the competitive play in Destiny 2 soon. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and November 19, 2019, on Google Stadia.
