Destiny 2’s Nightfall Strikes have always served as a nice middle ground for elite PvE players. Sure, they’re not quite as tough as full-blown raids, but they’re certainly no walk in the park either. Recently, fans discovered that Destiny 2 actually contains a hidden reward for those who have truly mastered their Nightfalls.
In this guide, we’ll explain how to unlock the ‘After the Nightfall’ profile emblem. Just know that unlocking the emblem requires some serious effort and dedication.
Destiny 2 After the Nightfall Emblem Unlock Requirements
The mere presence of the After the Nightfall emblem was mostly discovered by accident. Over on Reddit, fans discussed how there were only five players in the entire world who had the emblem. Not only that, but Bungie had apparently sworn those players who had unlocked the emblem to secrecy. If the greater community wanted the emblem, they’d have to figure out its unlock criteria the old fashioned way.
Of course, since this is a dedicated online fanbase we’re discussing here, it wasn’t long before the case was cracked. It seems that earning the emblem requires beating every Destiny 2 Nightfall Strike under a certain time threshold. The specific threshold varies from strike to strike, but on average it’s between 7-10 minutes total. We’ve gone ahead and posted the individual time limits below:
Nightfall Strike Time Thresholds
- A Garden World – 0:10:05
- Exodus Crash – 0:10:10
- Lake of Shadows – 0:06:07
- Savathun’s Song – 0:12:31
- Strange Terrain – 0:07:26
- The Arms Dealer – 0:07:59
- The Inverted Spire – 0:09:47
- Tree of Probabilities – 0:10:13
- The Pyramidion – 0:11:46
- Will of the Thousands – 0:10:17
- The Insight Terminus – 0:09:51
- The Hollowed Lair – 0:09:30
- Warden of Nothing – 0:11:57
- The Corrupted – 0:08:49
Players can also use this handy Nightfall tracker tool to compare their best times with each time threshold. Once a player has beaten the time threshold for all of the above Nightfall Strikes, they’ll get the emblem.
