Destiny 2: This is How You Can 1-Shot Enemies in PvP With Sturm

Yesterday, Bungie released another Exotic Hand Cannon in Destiny 2 called Lumina (here’s the complete guide on how you can acquire this hand cannon). This is the first major Support Weapon in the Destiny universe. When Bungie said that they are planning on routing more towards MMORPG style, they really meant it. Good thing is, Lumina really fits with its role as a support weapon too. It basically gives you health and weapon buff – and with that, we’ve found a weapon that can literally kill enemies in Crucible with one-shot which is Sturm.

How to One-Shot Guardians in PvP With Sturm

Sturm Destiny 2 One-Shot Weapon

Obviously, you won’t be able to simply one-shot guardians in PvP without any buffs or perks active. In order to pull off this strategy, you need Sturm as well as Drang (legendary sidearm) as a duo-combo. Keep in mind that Lumina (exotic hand cannon) plays an important role in this strategy. Follow the step by step guide given below

  1. Get a kill with Drang (sidearm).
  2. Switch to Sturm, this will activate its perk called Sturm Overload
  3. Now after getting Sturm Overload, you need to get hit with a Noble Round (this will heal you and gives you weapon damage buff) from a Guardian who’s using Lumina. This is the most crucial step for this since Noble Rounds gives you 19% bonus weapon damage in PvP (35% damage buff in PvE).

This is all you need to one-shot a guardian in Crucible. You will be able to defeat guardians with one-shot as long as they have Resilience less than 7. This makes Sturm a very lethal weapon if there’s even a single player using Lumina in a Fireteam. Here’s a video guide showing this weapon off.

There have been several leaks about Destiny 3. The leaks also suggested that there will be a Dark Subclass for Guardians coming in Destiny 3 (which the players have been asking for since OG Destiny). Read our full article about Destiny 3 leaks here.
