There is one main method of getting this legendary shotgun in Destiny 2. It was introduced alongside the Warmind expansion that takes you to Mars. One of the endgame content in that expansion is what we need to do in order to receive this shotgun. Yes, we are talking about Escalation Protocol.
This wave-based, “endless” replayable mode is what you will want to do if you’re looking to get the Destiny 2 Ikelos Shotgun. There are several waves in this mode with various enemies and bosses to fight. However, you will need to make it to the seventh wave of Escalation Protocol and take out its boss in order to have a chance of receiving this shotgun.
There is some RNG involved so it may take a couple of tries to get it. There are a few other weapons that drop from this mode so you may get them instead at first. However, this mode shouldn’t be too hard these days if you have Forsaken and a relatively high power level.
