There are a lot of cool looking exotic weapons that play well too. One of them is Jotunn. This Exotic Fusion Rifle was added in Season of the Forge (Black Armory). And since then, it is reigning supreme inside the Crucible in Destiny 2. The main perk on this weapon is called Charge Shot “Hold down the trigger to charge up a tracking shot that explodes and burns on impact.” The Trait on this weapon is Shield Disorient “Energy matched shield explosion disorients nearby combatants.”
How to Get Jotunn in Destiny 2
If you still don’t have this exotic, here’s a quick run-down on how you can get this weapon in Destiny 2. First off, you need to unlock all four Forges that are Volundr, Gafannon, Izanami, and Bergusia. After you’ve unlocked every forge, head to Ada-1 and get any Heavy Weapon frame. Complete necessary tasks on the frame and head to Bergusia forge in the EDZ. The thing about Bergusia forge is, you can farm any Heavy Weapon frame in it whether the frame tells you to complete other Forge too. Now, all you have to do is pray to RNG to be kind to you and drop Jotunn. Good Luck!
Jotunn Getting Disabled for Shadowkeep Raid
Recently, players have discovered that there is a game-breaking bug with this exotic fusion rifle. Apparently, this bug is tied to how many FPS you get. The higher the FPS, the more damage number you’ll going to see with this weapon. So, this exploit is for PC users only, since consoles only support 30 FPS at the moment. Take a look at the video from Sweatcicle below:
After seeing this exploit, Bungie has taken immediate action against it and decided to disable this exotic weapon in Garden of Salvation raid. Luke Smith (Game Director at Bungie) has tweeted that this weapon will be disabled for the Raid:
“Jotunn/Toaster will be disabled for Garden of Salvation. The team has identified the issue with Jotunn and we will release a fix in a future update.”
Over on Reddit, Cozmo23 has commented that they are planning on disabling this weapon for the first 24-hours only to cover the World’s First race. Here’s what he said:
“Currently, we plan is to disable it for the first 24hours to cover the World First race. We can’t pick and choose where it’s disabled, you will not be able to equip it for any activities while it is disabled. We’ll let you know if anything changes.”
Speaking of World’ First Raid race, Destiny 2 on PC is at a whole other level. Bungie should consider World’s First console only and PC only raids since there’s a huge FPS gap and loading times on consoles as compared to PC.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
