Yesterday, Bungie showed us a brand-new Gamescom Trailer for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep that featured some really interesting stuff like (more) floating bodies, New Void Exotic Rocket Launcher, Heavy Finisher Moves, and a Heavy Bow. Shadowkeep comes with a great pack of features that Destiny 2 players have been asking for, for a long time. Some of these features are going live sooner than we expected such as – Cross Save.
Heavy Finisher Moves and Artifacts System
Back in June, when Shadowkeep was first revealed, Bungie talked about a new feature they’ve been working on – Finisher Moves. Back then, they didn’t show us or talked about how they’ll implement in-game. Yesterday, during the InsideXbox Live Stream, Bungie discussed more Finisher Moves and how it will help you and your Fireteam in many ways.
There are several types of Finisher Moves. One thing to keep in mind that these (some) Finisher Moves will consume a part of your Super Energy while granting you with Ammo bricks etc. Talking about the Heavy Finisher Move, it can be unlocked from the Artifacts system and once unlocked; it’ll grant you and your Fireteam with Heavy Ammo if you kill an enemy with a Finisher Move.
Below you can find every Mod that was shown yesterday during the Xbox live stream. Take a look:
- Heavy Finisher: Finishers grant Heavy Ammo. Requires one-half of your Super energy. (Drops for everyone in your Fireteam)
- Thunder Coil: Grants bonus damage for all Arc melee abilities and refunds Super energy on finisher final blows.
- Arc Battery: Grants over-shield and reduced cool down during activation for all Arc class abilities.
- Oppressive Darkness: Causing damage with a Void grenade adds a weaken effect to enemies.
- Anti-Barrier Rounds: Shield-piercing rounds designed to bypass combatant defenses. Strong against Barrier Champions. (Auto Rifles & SMGs only)
- Anti-Barrier Hand Cannon: Shield-piercing rounds designed to bypass combatant defenses. Strong against Barrier Champions.
- Overload Rounds: Uninterrupted fire grants bullets that cause disruption, delaying ability energy regeneration and lowering combatant damage output. Strong against Overlord Champions. (Auto Rifles & SMGs only)
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
