Destiny 2: Mountaintop Quest Getting Easier – Community Challenge Soon

Yesterday, Bungie dropped some big bombs – announcing the updated release date for Shadowkeep, Cross Save coming later this summer. Now, we’ve got another update on our hands. Due to the insane amount of requests, Bungie is finally tuning the Mountaintop quest and making it a little bit easy for players to acquire this weapon. Currently, the Solstice of Heroes event is going strong in Destiny 2. Players have been grinding those legendary Solstice Armor sets (including myself).

The Mountaintop Quest

Destiny 2 Pinnacle Weapons Crucible Mountaintop quest

The Mountaintop grenade launcher was released in Black Armory as the Crucible pinnacle weapon. And after trying for almost 7 months, I’ve just got this grenade launcher yesterday. Currently, to acquire this grenade launcher, you need:

  • 750 Kills with a Grenade Launcher
  • 200 double kills with Grenade Launchers
  • 100 Calculated Trajectory medals

For those who are still grinding or looking forward to grinding this weapon. You have some good news from Bungie:

Mountaintop and Wendigo GL3 pinnacle quests will become more accessible.

  • Specific quest objectives will be tuned based on player feedback

Yes, along with the Mountaintop quest, Bungie is also tuning Wendigo GL3. It’s another grenade launcher in the Heavy slot released in Season of Opulence as a Vanguard pinnacle weapon. To acquire this weapon, currently you need to:

  • 1,500 final blows
  • 500 multikills
  • Points earned
