There is so much content for players to do right now in Destiny 2 like completing the Bergusia Forge in Black Armory and doing all of the weekly bounties. Of course, there is always the PvP element for players, too. Right now, the game is in the middle of season five. But some players are already wondering about the Destiny 2 Season 5 end date.
For starters, seasons in Destiny 2 are a little weird. Unlike other games like Fortnite, it isn’t so easy to predict when a season will end if we don’t have confirmation yet. For one, the first season of the game only lasted from September to December 2017, meanwhile, the second season went from December 2017 to May 2018. This can make things a little tricky.
Destiny 2 Season 5 End Date
Let’s get this out of the way immediately. We don’t know the end date for season five just yet since Bungie hasn’t given it to us. However, we can speculate on when we think it might be. This is by looking at past seasons and Bungie’s odd release schedule. In fact, the sporadic seasons are actually really helpful for figuring out the end of season five.
We know that there won’t be a gap between season five and season six. There is also an explanation for the weird gaps between seasons. These help us determine what we think will be the Destiny 2 Season 5 end date. Each season basically starts and ends with each new expansion. Season five began just before the launch of Black Armory.
As such, we believe the Destiny 2 Season 5 end date and the start of season six will be with the next expansion. The next expansion, Joker’s Wild, is currently set for Spring 2019. Based on previous expansions, we expect it to release sometime in May this year. That should be around the time of the end of season five.
