On June 4, Bungie revealed that Destiny 2 will be going with the Season Model with Shadowkeep this fall. This means that players don’t need to purchase a whole Annual Pass (like with Forsaken) to access its content. Except, they can purchase any Season Pass for the current season they want to hop in and try. Each season is $10, according to Bungie. There will be a total of 4 seasons in Year 3 of Destiny 2, starting off with the Season of the Undying in Shadowkeep.
Destiny 2 Seasons Will Be Cross-Account Purchases
Paul Tassi on Twitter tweeted that, according to Bungie, Seasons will be cross-account purchases. Meaning, you only need to buy Seasons on your main account and you can access its content on other platforms as well. For example, I’ve bought Season Pass for Season of the Undying on my main Account that is PlayStation 4. So, if I want to play on PC, I don’t have to buy the Season Pass for that Season again. Here’s what Paul said in his tweet:
“So interesting thing I just heard from Bungie. Seasons are cross-account purchases if you buy them on your main platform. As in, if you chose your PS4 characters as your main, and you buy the season there, it will transfer to PC via cross save, but only if you do it that way.”
He also said that “to be safe, they’re [Bungie] looking into if the reverse is possible.” This will allow Seasons to be cross-platform purchases. The future of the Destiny franchise is looking really bright. Shadowkeep is just a month away now, make sure you dismantle your Eververse items for some Bright Dust. PAX West 2019 is just around the corner, players will be able to earn free coins and pins if they participate in the Crucible matches at the event. Here’s everything you need to know about how you can earn these pins for free.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
