Back in Destiny 1, there were a lot of stuff and items that we just held on to just because – collections. Many players in Destiny 1 still have the first weapon you get when starting the campaign that is – Khvostov 7G-02. Seeing this weapon in someone’s vault just represents that he/she really is a collector. With the Age of Triumph, Bungie brought back this weapon as an Exotic variant along with other exotic weapons. Well, it seems, this weapon in coming back this fall for the first time in Shadowkeep.
Returning OG Items in Shadowkeep
We all know that Destiny 2 is going Free-to-Play this fall as – Destiny 2: New Light. This will allow players to play the main campaign of Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind (along with the raid lairs) completely free. They’ll also have access to new spaces like the Moon (Shadowkeep), The Tangled Shore, and The Dreaming City.
Now, Bungie has already revealed New Light players will be starting off their adventure in The Cosmodrome where you first get revived in Destiny 1. Now, this means, there will be certain items that will be back. One is the Khvostov 7G-02, second being the Generalist Ghost Shell (yes, it’s really back), and the last one is The Arcadia Class Jumpship (the first ship you get in Destiny 1).
Now, we do have screenshots of Khvostov 7G-02 and Generalist Shell (credits goes to this Reddit user), he also confirmed that there was the Arcadia Class Jumpship and that he wasn’t able to grab a shot of that during the PAX West event.
New Light will bring in a lot of new players to the Destiny 2 Community. Seeing low-level Kinder Guardians trying to trigger heroic public event really cheers you up. So, make sure you help them out anywhere you find once the New Light goes live this fall.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
