Note: Spoilers ahead. You’ve been warned!
Destiny 2 servers are currently down for maintenance for the launch of Shadowkeep. Tomorrow at 10 AM PDT, Destiny 2 players on Steam and on consoles will start their grind to get raid-ready this weekend. But, for that, we still have to kill 12 hours of maintenance. Shadowkeep pre-load went live on consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) earlier today. The update file size is around 23GB on PS4 and 28GB on Xbox One. As for the Steam player, Destiny 2 pre-load went live last week for the whole thing and is around 80 GB in total. Recently, a Destiny NASA Easter Egg has been revealed.
Destiny 2 NASA Easter Egg Revealed
Earlier today, Mashable posted an article that contained the surprise for Destiny 2 players. A bit of a back story for those who are not familiar with this, NASA (The National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is preparing to launch LunaH-Map (Lunar Polar Hydrogen Mapper) which is scheduled to head to the Moon in 2021. The main mission of this satellite is to detect water-ice presence on the Moon.
Now, let’s get back to Shadowkeep. Mashable interviewed with art lead at Bungie, Rob Adams in which he said that “As we know, the LunaH-Map spacecraft will crash into the moon at the end of its mission. After laying silent for many centuries, its remains are still there, for Guardians to discover. Anyone exploring the Moon will have a chance at stumbling across this curious piece of pre-Golden Age human exploration history.“
Players will get an emblem when you unlock this Easter Egg in Shadowkeep on the Moon. Take a look at the emblem below if you haven’t already:
As for the location of this Easter Egg, Mashable also gave a glimpse of where you can find this Easter Egg on the Moon. While it doesn’t reveal the exact location, we still get a pretty solid clue to where this can be found. Check out the image below:
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
