Destiny 2: Trials of Osiris Returning? Here’s Everything We Know

Destiny 2 has two parts – PvE and PvP. While many prefer PvE over PvP since Destiny actually is a PvE looter-shooter game, there are a lot of players who actually love and play the PvP part of the game. PvP in Destiny is called The Crucible who is run by Lord Shaxx. Just like any other game, The Crucible has different game modes such as Rift, Control, Clash, Momentum Control, Supremacy, and in Competitive side of things, Trials of Osiris/Nine, and Iron Banner. One of the most competitive and fun PvP activity is probably Trials of Osiris which is not in the game right now.

Destiny 2: Trials of Osiris Returning?

Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris

Back when Bungie released the Director’s Cut series, they mentioned that Trials of the Nine is on hiatus indefinitely using italics to emphasis Nine. This gave us a clue the Trials of the Nine is no longer what Bungie is working on which means Trials of Osiris will be returning. Fast-forwarding to the release of Season of Dawn, according to Ginsor on Twitter, it seems there were two new text strings added in the game named Trials of Osiris. We don’t know if it’s true, but if it is, this confirms that Trials of Osiris is a thing at Bungie now.

Talking about Saint-14’s arrival at the Tower, you can see there are a lot of Osiris logos on the floor and on curtains lying beside Saint-14. While we do know, this is for Osiris and Obelisks, why use exactly the game logo as we had for Trials of Osiris back in Destiny 1? Thing rings a lot of bells on the return of Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2.

We don’t know exactly when it will be released in-game but we do know that it’s coming. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and November 19, 2019, on Google Stadia.
