Destiny 2’s massive 1.2.3 update is now live, bringing with it a whole bunch of changes and additions that affect everything from Crucible PvP to Prestige Raid Lairs. One of the more minor changes included in the update is a second pass of updates for certain Exotic armor pieces, and we’ve got the full breakdown of which armor pieces are affected and how.
According to the official patch notes for update 1.2.3, the second pass of armor tweaks affects nine Exotic armor pieces in total, breaking down to three pieces for each of Destiny 2’s three core Guardian classes (Titan, Hunter, and Warlock).
For Titans, the armor pieces affected are ACD/0 Feedback Fence, Dunemarchers, and Doom Fang Pauldrons. Now, when a Titan has ACD/0 Feedback Fence equipped, they gain Fury Conductor stacks by scoring melee hits rather than melee kills, and the damage the Titan receives is reduced for each stack of Fury Conductor that’s currently active. As for the Dunemarchers, the Linear Actuators now kick in after a Titan has been sprinting for only 1.5 seconds rather than the previous five seconds, and the damage of the chain lightning effect has been buffed in both PvP and PvE. Finally, the Doom Fang Pauldrons now grant more bonus Super energy on successful Void melee kills and Shield Throw hits.
Over on the Hunter side, the three affected Exotics are the Lucky Raspberry, St0mp-EE5, and Young Ahamkara’s Spine. Lucky Raspberry now has a greater chance to fully recharge the player’s Arcbolt Grenade when a previously thrown Arcbolt Grenade hits its target, and the recharge is guaranteed to trigger when the grenade’s detonation hits four or more targets at once. The St0mp-EE5’s benefits are more noticeable when using Strafe Jump or Triple Jump, and Young Ahamkara’s Spine boosts the blast radius, throw speed, and resistance to enemy damage of trip mines at the cost of removing their target-marking functionality.
Warlocks who enjoy using the Karnstein Armlets, Crown of Tempests, and Starfire Protocol will be happy with the changes introduced in update 1.2.3. The Crown of Tempests now has a Conduction Tine stack limit of three (but its power remains the same), and each Conduction Tine stack lowers the rate at which Super energy depletes while Storm Trance is active. The Karnstein Armlets no longer grant bonus resilience and mobility, and they no longer highlight nearby enemies after a successful melee kill, but now when a player lands a melee kill they’ll receive a large boost of health and continuous additional healing for the next eight seconds. As for the Starfire Protocol, it now grants bonus Fusion Grenade energy from empowered weapon damage hits.
