Details About Upcoming Borderlands 3 Content are Coming Next Week
Next week, Gearbox will be launching the second instalment of Borderlands 3 story DLC, the upcoming and evocatively-titled Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Sir Hammerlock. However, it seems that the new DLC isn’t the only thing which Borderlands fans will have to look forward to. Gearbox has announced that the next episode of The Borderlands Show will be airing just prior to the DLC release.
The Next Episode of The Borderlands Show
Episode 6 of The Borderlands Show, Gearbox’s periodical series, will be airing at 8:00 AM PDT on the 24th of March, two days before Guns, Love, and Tentacles releases. As per usual, it will be available to watch on the official Borderlands Twitch channel. Similar to the episode which aired prior to the last DLC, this episode will feature an early look at gameplay for Guns, Love, and Tentacles. However, that won’t be all it features.
Following on from the game’s PAX East announcements, Episode 6 will also include more details about the upcoming Spring 2020 roadmap. There are several major content additions coming up over the next couple of months; a new event, Mayhem 2.0, and a new Takedown, to name but a few. Of course, the third story DLC will presumably be coming up after all of that. Gearbox has yet to reveal any details about that, although it has released one teaser of what’s to come. It’s unlikely, though not impossible, that the Borderlands Show episode next week could reveal more.
What we know will be discussed is the Revenge of the Cartels event, along with details of Mayhem 2.0. In addition, the show will apparently cover a new feature coming soon to the Borderlands 3 ECHOcast Twitch Extension. Finally, it’s worth noting that fans will be able to claim a SHiFT code for a Golden Key during the Borderlands Show. That key will only be available for a limited-time, and should be revealed once the episode starts.
