Doomguy Will Appear In Doom Reboot Movie

There has been some rumors about Doomguy not appearing in the new Doom Reboot movie. Director Tony Giglio recently denied these rumors in one of his tweet replies on Twitter.

After the other two movie adaptations of the popular Doom video game in 1993 and 2005, a reboot of Doom 2005 has recently finished filming and is expected to be released soon. News about this new Doom movie appeared in April when actress and singer Nina Bergman confirmed she had signed to play a role in it with Universal Pictures. Following this statement, we have seen her posting various photos from the set of the movie, filming along with other actors starring in it.

Furthermore, since the new movie is being handled by Universal 1440 Entertainment, it did not take us long to learn that it will be released straight to DVD and not in theaters. We also learned that the lead actress will be Amy Manson. On top of that, a rumor regarding Doomguy not being in the film has disappointed fans, resulting in many of them believing it will be another failed Doom movie, like the one released back in 2005.

Fortunately, Tony Giglio replied to a fan on Twitter, who was asking about the rumor of no Doomguy, commenting that this is false.

“It’s false. Don’t believe anything unless you hear it from me or until after you see the film. Deal?”

The new Doom film, although it has finished filming, does not have a release date yet. Giglio once again came to the rescue tweeting another reply to some other fan asking him about the release date. He answered that the movie is expected to be released sometime in 2019.

“I haven’t even started editing. It will be a while. Look for it in 2019”.

Giglio also confirmed that the film will feature demons and references to Hell, unlike Doom 2005, which focused on a completely different story revolving around a genetic experiment gone wrong resulting in the creation of beasts similar to the ones in the games.

Although we have no photos of Doomguy, Giglio’s tweet replies were very informative, giving us hopes for a great Doom movie, even if it is their third attempt.
