What is PS4 Update 6.72?
Well, PS4 Update 6.72 is pretty basic, as it turns out. You can view the official description of the update on Sony’s page titled “About PlayStation 4 system software version 6.72.” The update is described as follows:
“This system software update improves system performance.”
That’s right. Your PlayStation 4 will be more stable than ever. In short, there are no surprises with this update. It is around 440MB, so on most connections, it should not take too long to download and install. At least that’s something, right?
There really isn’t a whole lot more to say about it, except that it is of course important to keep your system up-to-date, even when the latest update is not all that exciting and doesn’t bring any new features. The official page describing the update doesn’t have much to add beyond the usual caveats about the appropriate time and way to install an update (i.e. not when you might lose power).
