Bandai Namco has recently announced that their role-playing, fighter hybrid, the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series, has managed to sell over 10 million units worldwide. Dragon Ball Xenoverse first debuted back in February 2015, the second Xenoverse game following only a year later in November 2016. Ever since then the game has received a number of free updates and DLC, which the Nintendo Switch got full access to when it was released on the system last year, 2017.
For those who aren’t aware, Dragon Ball Xenoverse is set in a universe entirely of its own and thus, doesn’t follow that of the main anime series. In the series you are able to create your own custom character of any race, giving players a chance to make themselves in the Dragon Ball universe. According to Silliconera, Bandai Namco has stated that the people who mostly play the series are those in their 20s or teens, but that shouldn’t stop you from purchasing the games if you’re interested in the premise of the series.
Besides, who wouldn’t want the chance to fight against your favorite Dragon Ball characters like Vegeta, Piccolo and Goku?
In other Xenoverse news, the third DLC pack for the second Xenoverse game, which includes Kefla and Super Baby 2, will arrive this Summer priced at 750 yen. What will also be included is a free update that will bring new accessories and costumes.
While we aren’t too sure when the DLC will be gracing our respected platforms, we’re certain that it’ll be a huge hit among Dragon Ball fans as Kefla is a known-favorite due to her being the first female Saiyan that we’ve seen in the anime series.
One thing is for certain, if you’re a Dragon Ball fan then you’d be crazy to miss out on this game as it has both lore elements as well as some excellent combat. Do check it out, we’re sure you won’t regret it.
