Get ready to create, because Media Molecule has announced the release date for Dreams’ early access. It’ll be coming to the PlayStation 4 on April 16th, 2019 (via PlayStation Blog).
What’s in the Early Access?
While the early access gives users a chance to create anything they want, it won’t include everything creation tool in the final game. It will include interactive tutorials, templates, and additional content that was created during its private beta. Among the pieces of content not included in the early access is the game’s story mode. The early access will gain new content as it goes on.
Pricing, Availability, and More
Sounds great right? But the question is how much will it cost? The early access will be available on the PlayStation Store for $29.99 in the US and $39.99 in Canada. Media Molecule recommends that players buy it as soon as possible because access will be limited.
As for what regions it’ll be available in, it’ll only be available in the US and Canada. Additionally, it can be played in English and French.
While the early access won’t be available for pre-order, you don’t have to pay extra for the full version of the game when it comes out. Media Molecule didn’t provide a release date for the full game. As for VR support, it won’t be supported for the early access, but it’ll be added to the game at some point after the full game is launched. Lastly, to those that want to stream the game, there won’t be an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) for the early access.
Dreams is the next game developed by Media Molecule, the developer behind LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway. The game was announced back in 2013 when the PlayStation 4 was first unveiled. This game lets players create anything they want and share their creations with other players.
