Dreams May Not Be Headed to PC After All

Last month, we reported on a rumor that the PS4 exclusive Dreams might be on its way to PC. But alas, even though Sony has big plans for the future of Dreams, at the moment, cross-platform release on PC does not appear to be one of them. So is Dreams headed to PC? Apparently not.

Dreams Isn’t Going to Be Headed to PC Anytime Soon

Mark Healey, creative director at Media Molecule, was talking to VGC. He said, “I think that [Dreams on other platforms] would be cool, I mean obviously Sony have an opinion about that but yeah, I think, I don’t know where it’s going to go in the future, I mean it would be great to see that. That’s not something that’s happening right now, but I think a lot of that depends on where the games industry goes in general, I suppose. I mean I think Sony have become more open recently to publishing stuff on the PC in general anyway, haven’t they? Isn’t there some stuff that’s happening, I’m not sure?”

So, this statement does tell us that Dreams on PC was merely a rumor. It isn’t going to happen in the foreseeable future. But at the same time, Healey seems optimistic about the possibilities that could be on the horizon. As he points out, Sony does seem to be getting more open-minded about cross-platform publishing. So maybe Dreams will eventually make it to PC, just not right now.
