Big Game Hunt is the first of five drop quests which players can undertake in the Toxic Valley, the second region of Fallout 76. Like all drop quests, Big Game Hunt feels somewhat like a slightly smaller side quest. However, some element in it is random to an extent, and in the case of the Fallout 76 Big Game Hunt quest, it’s the location of three creatures you’ll need to hunt and kill.
How to Complete the Fallout 76 Big Game Hunt Drop Quest
You’ll receive your first clue at this quest when you first approach Black Bear Lodge, a lone building in the wilderness of the Toxic Valley. As you come upon the lodge, you’ll receive a miscellaneous quest to go and talk to the Huntmaster. You can find the Huntmaster in the basement of the lodge. While the place is likely to be empty save for an irradiated animal or two, you can find a suit of Power Armour here. There is also a Magazine, which can be found in the attic. You’ll need to gain access from the outside of the building to get to it.
When you speak to the Huntmaster, you’ll officially start the Fallout 76 Big Game Hunt drop quest. The quest will give you three marked objective areas on the map, and three hunting objectives. You need to hunt and kill a radstag, a stingwing, and a snallygaster. Of the three, the stingwing is likely the easiest; the insects are relatively weak, and will also aggressively attack you. The radstags, on the other hand, will flee at the firsts sight of you. As such, you’ll need to use stealth or some other strategy to get close.
The final target, the Snallygaster, should definitely be the toughest foe of them all. Although it won’t flee like the radstag, it is a much more formidable opponent than either of the other targets. Once you have killed all three, the quest can be completed. As for rewards, you’ll receive random ammo and aid items, along with a plan, armour piece, mod, or weapon. There’s also a chance that you’ll get a legendary weapon or armour piece. Finally, and perhaps best of all, you’ll get a free Hunter Perk.
