EA Sports has released a brand new FIFA 19 patch update for the hit soccer game. As of right now, the patch is only available for PC gamers. However, now that EA servers are working, the expectation is that FIFA 19 updates are on the way for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the near future. Among the biggest changes involved the “nerfing” of a popular shot, as well as some team management updates and fixes for the goalkeeper animations or gameplay.
New FIFA 19 Patch Update fixes Unrealistic Kicks, Game Plans
Gamers can finally say “bye bye” to those unrealistic kicks like the bicycle or scissor kicks. EA mentioned for their latest update they were doing away with the jumping volley kicks since those were a bit “too accurate.” So once again, the community speaks, and EA listens. That aspect of FIFA 19 goal scoring has been tweaked.
There is also a new change when it comes to making game plans in the team management area. Gamers will only be able to make changes for individual game plans in a match. Any other game plans for the remainder of the match will reflect those original changes, though.
Some key changes coming in the next Title Update for FIFA 19 (currently available on PC, coming to console soon). Read about it in the latest #PitchNotes -> https://t.co/XoSIUmm8Nr

FIFA 19 Patch Update fixes Goalkeeper issues
Just as EA addressed issues with unrealistic kicks they also addressed some of the unrealistic goalkeeping gameplay. The majority of those fixes involve what the goalies were doing with the ball near their feet. There were many instances where a goalie wasn’t picking up a ball that was right near his feet, allowing the opponents a chance to score easily.
That’s reportedly fixed with the new FIFA 19 patch update. In addition, they fixed the “Move Keeper” controls that were flaky. For example, when using those controls sometimes the goalies were diving out of the way of a shot rather than blocking it. That appears to be fixed. Additionally, a keeper rushing out of the net is now controllable using the “Move Keeper” controls.
The above are just the major fixes that took place within the latest FIFA 19 update. Gamers can read the full patch notes here at EA Sports website.
As mentioned the update above has been available for PC gamers, but these changes are likely to hit the PS4 and Xbox One versions of FIFA 19 too.
