EA Sports is getting closer to the very top in terms of FIFA 19 player ratings. On Monday, fans of the video game series learned which players made it into the FIFA game’s 30-21 spots. The latest reveal came not long after FIFA 19 ratings 40-31 were shown. Among the stars cracking the top 30 players in the game were Brazil’s Marcelo, Egyptian wing Mohamed Salah, and Paulo Dybala. As with previous ratings, the debates have started on social media too.
Top 30 FIFA 19 Player Ratings Include Coutinho, Salah
Leading the way into the top 30 is Brazilian sensation Coutinho who stars on Barcelona. The player who is known as “The Magician” while at Liverpool scored an 88 rating to rank at No. 30 overall. Per EA Sports, his “91 Dribbling” rating is due to how he confuses his defenders on the field. Coutinho also received an 86 when it comes to his Passing skill and an 81 Shooting rating. For comparison’s sake, Coutinho was the No. 51 player last year and had an 86 rating, giving him a nice boost into the top 30 for FIFA 19.

Ahead of Coutinho are several other players who are good enough to be referred to by just one name. Marcelo scored an 88 overall rating to land at No. 28, with Isco (89 overall) ranking No. 26 on the list. However, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah made one of the biggest leaps for a player into the top 30, so far. Salah (ranked No. 27) has an 84 shooting score, 45 defense, 72 physicality, and a 92 pace to give him an 88 overall rating. As EA Sports notes, it’s due to his scoring prowess over the past year so it’s well deserved.
Dybala maintains his FIFA ranking
The final member of the group is Paulo Dybala who is ranked exactly where he was in last year’s game. He’ll be the No. 21 player on the list with an upgraded rating for the new game. Dybala moved from an 88 to an 89 overall based on a ratings upgrade this time around. In FIFA 19 Dybala was an 88 overall but has been bumped up to an 89 for the new game. Dybala’s shooting remained at 85. His Passing rating dropped from an 84 to an 81 but his defense improved from 24 to 28.

Fans debating over Salah’s FIFA 19 rating
As with other FIFA 19 ratings, there are gamers arguing over the merits of certain players’ overall scores. Salah is receiving heavy debates on Twitter regarding his five-star skills and overall rating. Basically, the argument against Salah has been he has only had one good year. Other gamers feel the ranking is deserved or should be a bit higher (like a 90), per SportBible. After all, Salah earned the Premier League’s Golden Boot and scored 44 goals across various competitions last season.
