A new episode of EA Sports’ video series “Champions Rise” is now available for football fans to enjoy. The series takes a look at some of the FIFA 19 Champions League stars with future potential within the league. The new edition looks at FIFA star Harry Winks and his approach to the game. It also features commentary from the young player and his coach for the latest episode of the video.
FIFA 19 Champions League star Harry Winks
Harry Winks is the center midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur club. In “Champions Rise” Episode 2, he talks about his love of the game. Winks started young, playing at kids’ soccer schools. He even says at one point, “Football to me is a way of life.” With that type of attitude, it’s easy to see why EA Sports believes in his future potential on the field. Check out the full video clip below which includes comments from Winks and his manager Mauricio Pochettino.
In terms of FIFA 19 player ratings, Winks checks in at a 75 overall. They’ve rated his passing and dribbling skills the highest, with both at 75. His defense is a 64 and physicality a 63, while his shooting is just a 58. However, based on his work ethic and attitude towards improving, it may not be long before his numbers see a boost in the future.
FIFA 19 Champions League star Jesse Lingard
In the previous episode of EA’s video series, EA profiled another rising star amongst midfielders. Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard was under the spotlight for their FIFA 19 Champions League player.
In the video below, Lingard talks about how he always wanted to be a part of Manchester United, prompting his early signing. He also mentions the constant training required and discipline to stay focused, adding it’s “an emotional roller coaster.” He explains getting through the “bad times” and how great it felt to make his debut.
In the FIFA 19 video game, Lingard is rated at an 82 (or 83) overall with an 84 dribbling and an 81 pace leading the way. He also boasts a 78 for his shooting and a 76 for passing, making him a valuable offensive star in the game.
Lingard has yet to score for his club this season. Much of that goes in favor of star player Paul Pogba and others on United’s roster. However, he’s been a part of nine matches and played 487 minutes. During his time on the field, Lingard helps defensively in terms of tackling, interceptions, and a block. Lingard should continue to improve as he continues his soccer career.
This Manchester United star is just a big star performance away from making one of FIFA 19’s Team of the Week rosters, so stay tuned.
