On Monday (Nov. 19), gamers learned of the brand new edition of the FIFA 19 eMLS 2019 Cup. The news arrives courtesy of Major League Soccer (MLS) and EA Sports, makers of the hit FIFA 19 game. This year there will be a brand new format and additional teams as part of the field. Here are the latest details for the FIFA 19 eMLS 2019 Cup competition which is exclusively for PlayStation 4 gamers that are qualified.
eMLS 2019 Cup brings new teams, players
When it comes to the award-nominated FIFA 19 game, there are some true professionals out there. They’ll be amongst those in the 2019 eMLS season which will soon be underway. This year’s exciting competition has been expanded to include three new clubs and two new events. There are a total of 22 teams this time around. That means three new squads are joining the 19 original teams from last year.
The newcomers will be Atlanta United, D.C. United, and FC Cincinnati. Not long ago, MLS hosted a FIFA 19 launch event in Atlanta. Now they’ve got their own team heading into the eMLS’ second season.
FCC has recently signed 21-year-old Gordon Thomas aka “FCCFiddle” for their team, per MLS Soccer. He was not only 2017 Coca-Cola eCopa USA Champion but also the 2018 Gfinity North American Champion. Now he’ll go into the second season of the eMLS as a member of one of the newest teams. He’s a highly-skilled professional gamer who should bring quite a lot to the table for the brand new team.

This year’s eMLS League Series will also feature two different events. The eMLS League Series One arrives with help from the LA Galaxy MLS club in January. League Series Two takes place in February 2019 and is hosted by FC Dallas. At these events, eMLS FIFA 19 pro players will participate for a variety of prizes as well as to determine their seeding in the 2019 eMLS Cup.
eMLS 2019 Cup will crown the second champion
Winning the eMLS Cup and becoming champion are the main goal for those competing with their FIFA 19 teams. In the inaugural edition, the 2018 eMLS Cup, Kid M3Mito (Houston Dynamo) became the first-ever champion. He defeated LyesMTL (Montreal Impact) 4-2 to claim the championship. Now a second-ever champion will arrive in this exciting new eSports league. Could they come from one of the three new clubs?
Not only are players looking for the championship win in the eMLS League Series, but ultimately a ticket to further competitions. These include the EA Sports FIFA Global Series Playoffs, and the FIFA eWorld Cup. Last year’s events took place in Amsterdam and London.
