While we already had good reason to believe there would be an EA Sports UFC 4, there have been some new details leaked for the game. There is an official reveal happening later this month, but due to an online store listing, we’ve now learned a few more things. That includes which platforms to expect the game for, and confirmation of a UFC 4 beta.
EA Sports UFC 4 beta coming soon?
The EA Sports UFC 4 beta details leaked due to a Microsoft Store listing that went up for the new game. Per ComicBook’s report, the listing was only for UFC 4 on Xbox One and was more specifically for a beta version of the game. However, the listing provided no release dates for either the beta or the official game.
The listing only made reference to the Xbox One version of a beta, and there was no mention made of the game coming to Windows PCs. It doesn’t make any mention of Sony PlayStation 4 for the beta but generally doesn’t mention the competitor.
The original Microsoft Store listing included the following description for UFC 4 beta:
In EA Sports UFC 4 the fighter you become is shaped by your fight style, your achievements, and your personality. No matter how or where you play EA Sports UFC 4 puts ‘you’ at the center of every fight.
The Microsoft Store listing is no longer active for the EA Sports UFC 4 beta and now shows an error message. However, several Twitter users captured screenshots of parts of the listing. Those include a screenshot of fighters and some promotional images for the game (below).
There was no official beta release date anywhere with the listing. However, Comicbook speculated EA will release UFC 4 beta “soon” based on the listing.
What to expect with game, official reveal
The expectation is that the UFC 4 game will be available on the Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4. With that in mind, it’d be surprising if the UFC 4 beta was just for Xbox One gamers to test out.
As far as the next-generation consoles, we’d fully expect EA will follow suit with what they’re planning with upcoming Madden 21 and FIFA 21 titles. Madden is offering Dual Entitlement. Gamers have an option to upgrade from the PS4 to PS5 version or the Xbox One to Xbox Series X version of the game free of charge.
Will EA’s UFC 4 offer the same and when will it be out? When’s the UFC 4 beta coming out? We’re hoping to get those answers as of this Saturday, July 11. The planned EA Sports UFC 4 reveal is set to take place during the UFC 251 event featuring Kamaru Unman vs. Jorge Masvidal as the main event.
