The EA Sports UFC 4 game release is confirmed and MMA simulation game fans are hungry for details. While this past Thursday’s EA Play Live left everyone hanging in terms of any information about the game, it appears the wait will soon be over. A recent UFC pay-per-view poster may have provided confirmation that the UFC 4 game reveal is coming in July.
UFC PPV poster promotes EA Sports UFC 4 game reveal
On Saturday night, UFC is hosting its Blaydes vs. Volkov UFC Fight Night event. A week later, another UFC Fight Night arrives featuring Poirier vs. Hooker. However, it’s the next pay-per-view that fans will want to keep an eye on.
The UFC 251 event appears it will have the UFC 4 game reveal, based on the PPV poster tweeted out on Friday, June 19. The tweet was retweeted by EA’s UFC Twitter, which seems to confirm the reveal will happen.
UFC 251: Usman vs. Burns takes place on July 11, 2020. It was set to be the first UFC event to take place on “Fight Island.” However, UFC revealed that location is Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. UFC has already hosted several other events there, as this will be the fourth to take place.
UFC game available in beta mode
There has really been no information for EA Sports UFC 4 game beyond knowing that there will be a new game on the way. EA recently opened up closed beta registration for anyone with an EA account to sign up for. It will focus on “gameplay and tuning” with email invites going out in the upcoming weeks. That beta basically let the cat out of the bag that a new game was on the way.
In terms of other rumors, an IGN report noted that sports game journalist Brian Mazique shared the new game will feature boxing stars Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. That has some fans hoping it means a Fight Night game could come out in the future.
As far as a cover star, that’s still unknown, but one Twitter user believes it should be undefeated fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov. He potentially dropped some hints in his caption about who will actually be on the cover.

EA Sports UFC 4 will mark the next installment in the lineup of mixed martial arts simulation games. The previous game EA Sports UFC 3 arrived back on February 2, 2018. As far as the release date for EA Sports UFC 4, we’re hoping that arrives with the UFC 251 reveal or sooner.
The new game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and then the next-generation PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles. It’s unknown if UFC 4 will hit Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, or PCs.
