Earlier today, Bethesda released the next update for The Elder Scrolls: Blades, the Elder Scrolls mobile title which recently released in Early Access. Among the changes featuring in the update is a major tweak to The Elder Scrolls: Blades Silver Chests; something which players have been requesting since launch. As such, it’s likely to be well-received.
The Elder Scrolls: Blades Silver Chests Are Now Easier to Open
The new Elder Scrolls: Blades update was released earlier today, with a post announcing it on Bethesda’s official forums. Global Moderator ‘slenderf0x’ thanked the community of players who have helped make the new game successful thus far and then detailed the new changes. (Indeed, it’s worth noting that despite only being available in Early Access, Blades was downloaded more than 1 million times in its first week alone; making over an estimated $500,000 in the same time period!)
The biggest new change in the update is a tweak to The Elder Scrolls: Blades Silver Chests. Since launch, players have been complaining that Silver Chests took too long to open. Now, that time has been cut to just 33% of what it was before. Where before they took 3 hours and 36 gems to open, they will not take just 1 hour or 12 gems. This is likely to be a very popular change, as it makes the chests much more accessible.
Additionally, Bethesda has added both Wood Chests and Elder Chests to Job rewards, though players should note that Elder Chests will be very rare. Meanwhile, Silver Chests won’t appear in the Abyss anymore, but floors below your level will now reward more XP. Finally, players will now get a confirmation message before they use any amount of gems over 11. This should prevent any accidental use of large amounts. Obviously, the game is still in Early Access, so all of these elements are still subject to change. Indeed, thus far Bethesda has seemed to be very open to player feedback.
