Elder Scrolls: Online Rewards Players for End-of-Year Award Success

While 2019 is shaping up to be a big year for The Elder Scrolls: Online thanks to the launch of the year-long Season of the Dragon and upcoming Elsweyr DLC, the game certainly performed well in 2018 too. In fact, due to the game’s award success towards the end of the year, ZeniMax Online Studios is celebrating by giving their players a reward; free Elder Scrolls: Online Crowns, the in-game currency.

ZeniMax Online Studios Gives Players Free Elder Scrolls: Online Crowns

“We were thrilled to see The Elder Scrolls: Online receive a host of awards for 2018,” explains ZeniMax Online Studios“and we’d like to show our appreciation for our amazing community with a small gift.”

Elder Scrolls Online Crowns go Out to Celebrate Award Success

The studio specifically cites four awards which the game won as the reason for the celebration. The studio won both the Most Improved MMO award, as well as the Best MMO award (for the third year in a row), in the MMORPG.com Player’s Choice 2018 Awards. Additionally, Elder Scrolls: Online won the Game Informer Reader’s Choice 2018 award for the second year in a row. Finally, they also won the Massively Best MMO Update or Expansion of 2018 award.

The studio is evidently appreciative of their loyal fans, and as such, have chosen to reward them with a boon of in-game Crowns; 500, to be precise. This boon will be sent out to all PC/Mac players’ accounts on the 11th of February. Xbox One and PS4 players should get their own reward on the 13th of February. Note that you will only qualify to receive this reward if you’ve logged in to the game at some point since the 1st of January, 2017. The timing of the reward is convenient for those players looking to participate in the Suns Dawn event. This event allows players to get a unique pig pet for gifting Crown Store items to other players.
