Although the most recent Elder Scrolls: Online DLC actually released on the 4th of June, a whole week ahead of E3, Bethesda nevertheless didn’t miss the opportunity to promote it at their E3 showcase. The dramatic new Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr cinematic trailer continues the story from the DLC’s announcement trailer, as the newly-released dragons weak havoc and destruction upon Elsweyr.
The New Cinematic Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr Trailer
The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr DLC is the third “Chapter” DLC for the Elder Scrolls MMORPG. Each such chapter has added an entire region to the game; first Morrowind, and then the Summerset Isle. Now, players can set out to explore Elsweyr, the homeland of the feline Khajiit. In fact, this is the first time that Elsweyr has ever featured in anything approaching this level of detail in an Elder Scrolls game. The DLC released on all platforms on the 4th of June; the second DLC release of the year-long Season of the Dragon.
While previous recent trailers for Elsweyr have been gameplay-oriented, this latest trailer returns to a cinematic format. It follows directly on from the DLC’s announcement trailer, when Abnur Tharn accidentally released Kaalgrontiid and his dragons from the Halls of Colossus. In this trailer, Tharn and his allies take the fight to the new threat in a climactic night-time battle. Fans of the series should spot some familiar faces among the flames, including the relatively new Khajiit character, Khamira, who plays a central role in combating the dragon.
Now that Elsweyr has been released, there are still two more dungeon packs DLCs to come. These will conclude the year-long story which spans the entirety of the Season of the Dragon. Not much is known about the upcoming Scalebreaker and Dragonhold DLCs at present. However, ZeniMax Online Studios has told fans that they can expect info about both at QuakeCon, later this year.
