Today marks the beginning of a week-long celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls franchise. Among the announcements, including that Morrowind will be temporarily free on PC, and that The Elder Scrolls: Online will be free for a week, ZeniMax made announcements for the upcoming Elder Scrolls: Online Elsweyr DLC. The studio released its first gameplay trailer, for one. They also announced that the DLC’s prologue quest is now available to play in-game.
How to Start The Elder Scrolls: Online Elsweyr Prologue Quest
ZeniMax typically releases a prologue quest of some sort before all of their major DLC expansions. They recently did a similar thing, for example, ahead of the release of Murkmire. The quest is available to all players; you don’t need to have pre-ordered the Elsweyr DLC. The quest follows on from the story of the Wrathstone DLC, which recently launched, and continues the story of the Season of the Dragon; ZeniMax’s year-long event.
To start the Elder Scrolls: Online Elsweyr prologue quest, you first need to get a free Quest Item from the Crown Store; the Sealed Imperial Summons. Use this item in the Quest Starters section of your inventory. Once you do, head for the first big city for your alliance (Daggerfall, Davon’s Watch, or Vulkhel Guard) and speak to Anais Davaux, who can be found near the tent of the Impresario. Once you speak to Davaux, you’ll gain the Dragon Flight Illusion Gem memento.
At that point, you can head to Abnur Tharn’s camp, which is near to Elsweyr’s Grahtwood entrance. Nearby, you’ll find Zahiri, who will offer you new daily quests. Each time you complete one of her quests, you’ll earn loot from the Northern Elsweyr Defence Force. Through these quests, you can also earn Runebox fragments for a Guar Stomp emote. The Elder Scrolls: Online Elsweyr DLC will release in full on all platforms on the 4th of June.
