The next upcoming Chapter DLC for The Elder Scrolls: Online is now available on the game’s Public Test Server; ahead of its full release in early June. The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr brings a host of new content to the Elder Scrolls MMORPG, including the entire new region of Elsweyr. Players can opt into the Public Test Server on PC if they want to test out Elsweyr ahead of the full launch.
You Can Play The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr DLC Now on the PTS
“We are thrilled to announce that The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr and Update 22 are now both live on the Public Test Server,” announced ZeniMax, earlier today; “This test includes the entire new Chapter and the Update 22 base game patch and is limited to PC/Mac players only.”
If you want to access Elsweyr on the PTS and haven’t done so before, you can choose the ‘Show Public Test Environment’ option in the launcher settings of the ESO Launcher. After that, you should receive an email invite which will grant you access. Because this is a large-scale test, ZeniMax will be sending out email invites in waves. As such, you may need to wait a few days before you get your invite. Note that the Update 22 content is separate and can be tested by anybody; only the Elsweyr chapter requires an invite.
Players should note that accessing the PTS requires you to sign a non-disclosure agreement. This relates specifically to the Elsweyr main quest following the opening quest “Rage of Dragons”. Players are free to stream anything else in the PTS, but cannot stream story content beyond that first mission. Overall, the Elsweyr DLC is bringing the new Elsweyr region, the new main story, the Sunspire Trial, the Necromancer class, and a whole lot more. (Not to mention dragons!) Update 22, which is also available, is introducing two new player homes, a Guild Finder tool, and a new system for the Alliance War based around Daedric Artifacts.
