The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr DLC is due to release in early June, and while it’s bringing a whole new region, not to mention dragons, it will also introduce a new class to the game; the Necromancer. This class was first teased when the DLC was announced, earlier this year. Now, not only has ZeniMax released a new Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr Necromancer trailer, but they’re calling this week ‘Necromancer Week,’ with more info to come!
The New Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr Necromancer Class Trailer
“The souls and corpses of the fallen are yours to command with the Necromancer,” says ZeniMax Online Studios, in the new trailer’s video description; “an all-new class coming with The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr. Raise relentless undead, encase yourself in impenetrable bone, and weave severed flesh back together with the power of Tamriel’s dark arts. With the Necromancer, death itself is a weapon, and you are its master.”
It’s currently unknown exactly how the Necromancer will play and what abilities it will have. However, it seems as though controlling undead minions will be a central aspect of its play-style. Necromancers will also be able to armour themselves in undead forms. Although they are primarily concerned with death, necromancers can also heal both themselves and their allies. Of course, there is a deep-rooted stigma around the practice of necromancy, so the people of Tamriel may not take kindly to its use.
Today marks the start of what ZeniMax is calling ‘Necromancer Week’; a week-long event beginning with the release of the new trailer. The studio has said that there will be more; “video, social, and article content delving deeper into the new class over the next few days!” To keep up to date with Necromancer Week, be sure to check our Elder Scrolls news page.
