Whether you love glider redeployment or you loathe it, you know that Epic Games decided a few weeks ago to keep the feature across all game modes. The developer based the decision on feedback received from gamers, but knew that glider redeployment needed some balancing. So with patch v6.31, a number of changes adjust how it works.
Here Are the Changes in Glider Redeployment
You can read about all the changes which Epic Games brought to Fortnite in v6.31 in the official patch notes. Here is what the notes have to say about glider redeployment:
- Reduced the in-air speed when using the Glider Redeploy feature in supported game modes.
- Added functionality that allows the placement of map markers in the world without needing to go into the fullscreen map.
- You’ll be able to look at a position in the world and use the “Place Marker” keybind to place a map marker. This command will only be available by default while in Combat Mode.
- This command is defaulted to Left on the D-pad for controllers and the Middle Mouse button for PC and Mac.
- For Mobile players, this command will be bound to an optional button in the HUD Layout Tool.
- Fixed an issue where the Glider in-air audio cue wouldn’t play for players who glide in after rewspawning.
The changes to glider redeployment are a big deal, but hardly the only changes worth mentioning with respect to the update. The patch also includes a new Tournament and a new Limited Time Mode. Shotgun-lovers will be thrilled to learn that the patch adds Epic and Legendary Pump Shotguns as well. For one week, you also have a chance to Gift items in Fortnite to your friends.
