Epic Games has made huge changes to Fortnite weapons and items at the start of Chapter 3. The video game developer has completely changed the available loot pool in the game. All Chapter 3 weapons have been vaulted and replaced with new ones, which isn’t something many players enjoy.
However, players are slowly getting used to the new items. At the same time, Epic is looking at the game data to determine which items need to be buffed or nerfed. On December 10, the Fortnite creator has released some big changes that affect the effectiveness of several new items, including shotguns.
Four Fortnite weapons have been changed in the latest hotfix
The video game developer has decided to make changes to four different weapons in the game. The Striker Pump Shotgun has received the biggest changes as it was significantly buffed. This weapon is more accurate now and its fire rate has also been increased. There is no doubt that players will use this shotgun more often now. While it’s not exactly the same as the Pump Shotgun from the first two chapters, it will probably take a few weeks for players to get used to it.
The Auto Shotgun has also been buffed as Epic Games has decreased the time it takes to pull it out. This is a small buff, but a very useful one.
When it comes to assault rifles, both the MK-Seven and the Ranger Assault Rifle have received changes with this Fortnite hotfix. The MK-Seven had its environmental damage decreased and it is no less accurate when players use it for hipfiring. On the other side, the Ranger Assault Rifle has had its damage rate slightly increased and it also received a moderate accuracy buff. Considering that the MK-Seven has been the dominant assault rifle so far in Chapter 3, this is a welcome change.
Healing with Guzzle Juice is now faster
With five changes regarding weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3, Epic Games has also buffed one healing item. The Guzzle Juice now heals players much faster than before. As a matter of fact, downed players who are revived with 30 HP can get to full health in just nine seconds! While this is slightly faster than a Medkit, the Guzzle Juice allows players to move while they are being healed.
We are still in the early stage of Chapter 3, so we will most likely get more updates soon. In the meantime, keep playing and reporting issues so the game developer can fix them!
