Epic Games Releases A Massive Aiming Change in Fortnite Season 2

Fortnite Season 2 has finally come out! After almost a complete silence by Epic Games, the game developer has released a new season on Sunday, March 20. According to rumors, the Fortnite Battle Royale creator did not want to release teasers because of the Ukraine crisis, which makes sense considering that the theme of the season is a war.

When it comes to the situation in Ukraine, Epic has decided to donate all their revenue from March 20 to April 3 to humanitarian aid for people affected by the war in this country. On the other side, the game developer has released another fantastic product. For the first time, there haven’t been many leaks about the new season, which is very unusual. However, Fortnite Season 2 has brought some massive changes to the game, including big changes to the aiming system.

Aiming has been buffed in Fortnite Season 2

Back in early 2018, Epic Games has released so-called “first-shot accuracy” in Fortnite. After months of testing, the game developer felt this was the right thing to do, and it was. This mechanic drastically improves aiming accuracy for most of the weapons, letting players carefully aim and lead their shots. Before first-shot accuracy, bloom was a huge problem for many Fortnite players, but this change has positively affected aiming.

With the release of Fortnite Season 2 in Chapter 3, the game developer has further buffed first-shot accuracy. “Weapons with first-shot accuracy (such as the Ranger Assault Rifle) will now reach that state more smoothly, resulting in more ‘near perfect spread accuracy’ moments,” is what Epic Games posted in the patch notes.

Thanks to the aiming changes, the Ranger Assault Rifle is now even deadlier than before.

The Ranger Assault Rifle is now even deadlier than in Chapter 3 – Season 1. Several other weapons, such as the improved Burst Assault Rifle, will also benefit from this buff. On the other side, weapons like sniper rifles and shotguns do not benefit from first-shot accuracy as it’s mainly intended for assault rifles.

No building makes this change even better

In the first week of Fortnite Season 2, players cannot build any structures. It’s all about combat now, which is why the aiming change is so big. Players who know how to benefit from first-shot accuracy can now take their enemies down even faster!

We are still at the very beginning of the new season, but we are definitely going to see some amazing eliminations thanks to these changes.
