With no mainline series release for Assassin’s Creed this year, Ubisoft is hard at work rolling out plenty of content of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Another month means yet another heap of additions both major and minor, so what exactly can fans look forward to in the month of March?
Ubisoft Lays Out Release Map For Odyssey’s March Content
The biggest piece of noteworthy content is the addition of the final chapter to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Legacy of the First Blade. The controversial DLC has concluded with the most recent episode, entitled Bloodline. While the second episode to the trilogy of expansions was riddled with controversy upon release, many fans have rallied behind Bloodline as a proper ending, while others still remained dissatisfied with the way Ubisoft handled the entire debacle.
Yet another Lost Tales of Greece quest will be made available on March 26 entitled A Friend Worth Dying For. Players will seemingly be tasked with assisting a man named Barnabas, who is plagued with the hallucinations of someone close to him. As with all Lost Tales of Greece sidequests, players must have reached chapter five in Odyssey’s main story to begin the mission.
A new heap of items is being added to the game as well, albeit strange and fairly aesthetically out of place items. The first of the Abstergo themed bunch are a new gear set, bow, and even a robotic mount. Yes, it’s odd, but players may just find joy traipsing around ancient Greece looking like the Predator. The naval pack inspired by the same nefarious corporation includes a new crew theme, figurehead, and entire ship design. The Abstergo Pack will make one feel like an alien amongst the togas and sandals on March 19, but who’s to say that wouldn’t be a blast?
In somehow the least strange addition will be the brand new tentacle-faced lieutenant for players’ ships. Yes indeed, the aptly named Captain Octopus will be available as a Legendary Lieutenant skin to help helm your seafaring vessel beginning March 19. For players who wanted to experience what it would be like to share a ship with the Pirates of the Carribean’s Davy Jones, their dreams will soon be attainable.
