Another classic map, this time from the Black Ops series, is now available to play in Call of Duty: Mobile; Firing Range. This map, which first made its debut almost ten years ago, is now available in its first mobile iteration. Indeed, long-term Call of Duty fans should recognise Firing Range as the map from Call of Duty: Black Ops’ opening tutorial.
The New Firing Range Call of Duty: Mobile Map
Firing Range is the latest new addition to Call of Duty: Mobile’s ever-expanding map roster and, like so many of the game’s other maps, is a classic taken from the franchise’s past titles. Brightly lit and relatively open, Firing Range is a mid-sized map with both interior and exterior spaces. As such, there’s plenty of opportunities for players, regardless of their preferred styles of play; the narrow streets between buildings offer plenty of routes for advancing, tight corners to defend, and upper vantage points for sniping.
It’s worth noting that although Firing Range is full of buildings, many of these structures have open parts in their ceilings. This means that aerial Scorestreaks may be more effective than you might assume; indeed, enemy players may well retreat into areas which seemingly offer shelter but actually do little to protect them from above.

A key part of this classic map is the central watchtower. Although relatively exposed, it can offer a lethal vantage point for a skilled sniper; particularly as there is only one way to climb up to it. (During which time, climbers are vulnerable to being shot from above, of course.) Controlling this tower and other key buildings will allow you and your teammates to attack from a position of strength. Although, remember that the ceiling might not be as protective as it seems. If you’re facing well-entrenched players, make use of Scorestreaks and explosives to clear the buildings. After all, most of Firing Range’s structures are relatively small, and thus vulnerable to blasting weapons.
