While Modern Warfare Season 3 brought Quads to Warzone, fans of ordinary multiplayer got plenty new content of their own in the form of three new 6v6 maps; Aniyah Incursion, Hovec Sawmill, and Talsik Backlot. The third of these may have a new look, but franchise veterans may nonetheless find it somewhat familiar. That’s because the map is a remake of the classic Backlot map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
New Modern Warfare Season 3 Maps: Talsik Backlot
“The Kushaak construction company’s latest project is now idle in the middle of Urzikstan due to the growing conflict,” explains Activision; “Before this war, this vibrant urban community was in the middle of renovations, with its centre getting a new multi-floor building. Unfortunately, when the world shifted, this Backlot was forcibly abandoned. During this evacuation, one building on the North side of town crumbled and caught fire; only heightening the chaos in the region.”
The new Modern Warfare Talsik Backlot map is a mid-sized 6v6 map with 20 zones. Allegiance players spawn in Zone 1 – West Street, while Coalition players will spawn in Zone 17 – the opposing East Street. With both indoor sections and open ruins, Backlot offers a lot of opportunities regardless of your preferred playstyle. Of course, the East, Main, and West Streets are ideal shooting galleries for snipers. Meanwhile, areas like the Construction Building favour players using close-range weaponry.
Objective locations in Talsik Backlot are also many and varied, making it tougher than normal to learn objective rotations. This means that teams will need to think on their feet when it comes to moving from objective to objective. Fortunately, the many open windows and damaged walls mean that there are plenty of openings which you can use to hurl grenades into objective areas. If you don’t get there first, you may be able to make use of these angles to get an advantage.
